Vacancy for a Centre Manager

Action in Autism is a non-profit organisation (NPO). Its core work is to improve the quality of life for people with Autism and their caregivers by building partnerships between people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), their families and the community to provide information, services, learning and research.

Responsibilities

The Centre seeks to employ a Manager with the following responsibilities:-

1. Manage the Resource and Support Centre.
2. Work in a team with a small staff.
3. Manage the Early Learning Intervention Centre.
4. Be involved in raising funds to sustain the Centre.
5. Write regular reports for Exco and other stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A recognized degree in a relevant field, viz. the health sciences/education/social sciences/ early learning field.
• Experience in working with children with autism.
• A minimum of three years work experience in Special Education.
• A track record in management.
• Fluent in English and at least understand isiZulu.
